2 Wish upon a Star hopes to make a difference where needed.
On February 22nd 2012 George was rushed by ambulance to The Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant where, for two hours doctors and nurses fought to save our baby’s life. The kindness and support of the all the staff involved was overwhelming and I would like to take this opportunity to thank every one of them for what they did that night.
As an appreciation of our thanks 2 Wish Upon a Star would like to raise money to fund a project at the hospital in memory of our George. We are hoping to design a waiting area for relatives to sit and wait for news of their loved ones. We also believe there should be a quiet room where you can sit with a loved one if they pass away. This is an important part of the bereavement process and needs to be perfect in every way.
We decided to support the Noah’s Ark Appeal as our first charity. On the evening George passed away an ambulance was on its way to collect George to transfer him to the Children’s Hospital for Wales. It was a charity Paul and I decided to support through our little boys funeral and a worthwhile cause to raise funds for. It was a decision we made together during the few days immediately after losing George.
